It’s based on the Russian classical school of music. This is the method that many famous classical composers, performers, and teachers learned, including Sergei Rachmaninoff, Heinrich Neuhaus, Vladimir Horowitz, Sviatoslav Richter, Vladimir Ashkenazy, and Evgeny Kissin. The approach described in this book is practical: it relates directly to the music rather than just the theory. The beauty of the classical music presented throughout the lessons connects children to their hearts. This book teaches a hands-on approach with lots of visual illustrations, as opposed to abstract concepts.
